Who We Are...we LOVE our canine companions!

Recognizing the importance of human capital, Tiburon Treats Inc. has assembled a strong management team of canine enthusiasts to develop and deliver our products in our communities, in our homes and to our pets safely.

Jo Ann Baguioro-Thompson, Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Jo Ann brings to the company her experience as an entrepreneur and her love for her canine companions. She has rescued four beagles – Buster, Kiana, Shorty and Snoopy – and has welcomed many other dogs in the last 20 years. She brings over 15 years of management experience with strong emphasis in marketing, finance, operations with an investment boutique in Toronto from 1997 to 2006 and multimedia advertising most recently with one of the largest multimedia publishing companies in Canada. She is responsible for the overall management of the business including product development, partnerships and marketing.

 

Paul Thompson, Executive Vice President, Operations

Paul Thompson joined Tiburon Treats in 2005 with a mandate to maximize operations and production efficiencies and effectiveness. He brings over 25 years of management and operations experience specializing in the food at all retail markets most recently with Atlantic & Pacific Food Stores. His focus remains in product and quality development and distribution initiatives across our local markets and the webworld.

 

 

 

Jay Baguioro, Executive Vice President, Marketing & Strategy

Jay Baguioro is also an entrepreneur having founded Magnus Dux Canada www.magnusdux.ca, a national multimedia communications and marketing company specializing in product placement and brand integration headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. Jay brings over 10 years of sales and marketing experience through his senior sales executive role with CTV, Discovery Channel Canada, Animal Planet, travel+escape, Discovery Civilization & Project Manager, Interactive Sales, DiscoveryChannel.ca. His forte is cultivating relationships and pursuing sales from Canada's multi-platformed media buyers, both at the advertising agency level and at the direct client level.

Averil Stedman, Director, Administration &  Client Services

Averil Stedman is a graduate of Sir Sandford Fleming College with a diploma in Business Administration Marketing. Upon graduating from Fleming College, she went on to Trillium College where she graduated with a diploma in Accounting and Payroll Administration. Averil brings with her an extensive background in administration, customer service and retail management, having worked for businesses such as, Habitat for Humanity, Durham College and Shoppers Drug Mart. She was born and raised in Port Hope and currently resides there with her boyfriend Jay and their Weimaraner "Eeyore". Averil has always been passionate about animals and their overall health and well being.

 

Jackie Thompson – Creative Director

Jackie Thompson provides end-to-end creative expertise from marketing planning, to comprehensive and innovative solutions. Jackie brings her experience as an accredited Graphic Designer whose philosophy is to approach all opportunities from a holistic perspective and pursue ideas with a point-of-relevance mindset from strategy, concept and execution of traditional and interactive media to business and marketing strategy consultation. Hailing from one of the largest multimedia publishing companies, Metroland Media Group, Jackie has worked with the planning, account and media teams to develop the positioning and strategy for print and interactive initiatives. Jackie brings to Tiburon Treats her innovative concepts for true integration of the web, collateral and print.

 

Jonas Baguioro, Director, IT

 

Debra Graffmann, Executive Vice President - Global Operations

Debra has over 25 years of hands on experience in business development and government compliance for public and private sector businesses. With over a decade in the pet food industry where she developed markets, maintained accounts, facilitated government approvals and managed international business processes. Debra is a former Director of the Canadian Kennel Club, dog judge. She is committed to the growth of Tiburon Treats through as many channels as possible.
