The Whitby Lions Club (Whitby, Ontario) & Annual New Year's Eve Dinner & Dance
"January 5, 2009 – Dear Jo Ann Baguioro-Thompson: I am delighted to take this opportunity to thank you for your donation of the dog baskets to the Whitby Lions Club's third annual silent auction and for our raffle at our annual New Year's Eve Dance held at the Heydenshore Pavillion. This year, almost 190 guests enjoyed a full course dinner, great dancing, with decorations and party favors befitting this occasion. With your donation, you helped raise over $1,400 in our silent auction and over $700 from our raffle towards a dialysis machine for Lakeridge Health Whitby as well as other community charities. The Whitby Lions Club, with over 45 years of service, is proud to continue to give back to the community. Last year our assistance was given in part to: Breast Cancer Research, High School Bursaries and the Denise House.
